SSDI & SSI Support — We help individuals secure financial support when a disability prevents them from working.

Justice Department Opens Investigation into SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens, and more!

The U.S. Department of Justice has opened a civil rights investigation into United Parks & Resorts Inc.—the company behind SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and Aquatica Orlando—after receiving complaints that the parks may be violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Guests with disabilities reported being denied the use of essential mobility devices, specifically rollator walkers, leaving them without accessible alternatives or facing additional costs.

Ed Dept. Pulls Team Handling Disability Cases

The U.S. Department of Education is recalling hundreds of Office for Civil Rights staffers who were placed on leave earlier this year, after mounting lawsuits and a growing backlog of civil rights complaints — many involving students with disabilities. The department says returning these employees is necessary to address stalled investigations, though it still intends to pursue the layoffs that sparked the legal dispute. Disability advocates, who say OCR has been largely nonfunctional for months, welcomed the move and urged families to continue filing complaints.

United Airlines To Expand Disability Employment Effort

United Airlines is expanding a groundbreaking partnership with Special Olympics to hire more employees with disabilities across major U.S. airports. The initiative, which already employs Special Olympics athletes in customer service roles in Denver, Chicago, Houston, and Washington, D.C., will soon reach additional hubs including Los Angeles and San Francisco. United says the program offers meaningful, long-term employment—not temporary placements—while advocates note it also helps shift public perceptions about the capabilities and contributions of people with disabilities.

Struggling with Your SSD Application? We Can Help.

At California Disability Advocates, we’re committed to helping Californians get the Social Security Disability benefits they deserve guiding you through every step with compassion,

experience, and results.

Understanding the

SSD Process

Filing for Social Security Disability benefits can be confusing and overwhelming. Many applicants are denied the first time simply because their paperwork isn’t complete or their story isn’t clear. That’s where we come in helping you prepare the strongest possible case with accurate documentation and expert guidance.

Why Choose an Advocate

You don’t have to face the process alone. Our advocates know what the SSA looks for and how to make your claim stand out. From application to appeal, we handle the details, deadlines, and paperwork so you can focus on your health and peace of mind.
